Monomer casting nylon6 (MC nylon6) have many excellent properties, and they have been widely used in many fields of national economy. However, due to its shortcoming of poor thermal stability and resistance metal ion-corroding, MC nylon is limited wider uses. In this paper, phenolphthalein poly(ethersulfone) (PES-C)/MC nylon 6 composite with excellent properties were prepared by in-situ anionic polymerization, basing on ε-caprolactam melt is a fine solvent for PES-C. Meanwhile, the structure and property of composite were examined by DSC, FTIR, WAXD, TGA, SEM and so on. The main results are summarized as follows:1. FTIR results showed that there are hydrogen bonding interaction between PES-C & ε-caprolactam, PES-C & sodium salt of ε -caprolactam, PES-C & MC nylon system. The distribution of the PES-C domains was very uniform and its average diameter only about 60-100nm from the observation of SEM when the content of PES-C in composite was below 4%wt. As the PES-C was increase, the PES-C phase and MC nylon phase impenetrate with each other.2. The PES-C-grafted-CL which formed after the in-situ reaction of PES-C and sodium salt of £ -caprolactam, might act as a compatibilizer to improve the miscibility of PES-C and MC nylon.3. The results of isothermal and non-isothermal crystallization...
