Chemicals are indispensable in agriculture and industry, as important products and raw materials .But many of them have the character of caking without reference to organism or mineral. It makes the imcompact products reunite, so that it is inconvenient in storage, use, transportation, disposal. This problem involves in chemical industry, light industry, food industry, material engineering etc, especially in chemical industry. The research in this problem is active, and many fruits have been gotten, but it is far from being sloved. This article took compound fertilizers for example to research caking of chemicals ulteriorly.Caking of chemicals is influenced by many factors. Some factors can be eliminated by optimizing technologies, but some ones can not. So measures of anti-caking are needed. The important factors which influence caking are percent of water in fertilizers, temperature, pressure, and percent of small granules. The rank of degree is temperature, percent of water in fertilizers, percent of small granules, pressure. Equation is gotten from kinetic analysis, Y=39.03+24.46X1+2.42X2+3.33X3+9.16X4 +2.93X12+3.25X1X4 +3.13X2X4 R2 = 0. 9793,X1- the levels of temperature, X2 - the levels of percent of small granules, X3 - the levels of pressure , X4 - the levels of percent of water in fertilizersA kind of improved method of rapid characterization of granular fertilizer caking is used in this experiment. It can reflect the environment of fertilizers' storage and transportation externally, the period of experiment can be shorten from five weeks to only one week, so it promoted the process of experiment by a long way. This method accelerated the development and application of the anti-caking agencies. From the two conventional theories of caking and kinetic analysis, mechanism of multi-compounds' caking is found: When several fertilizers are mixed up, chemical reaction occurs, it makes the granules cake together. Meanwhile fluctuation of temperature makes rime and dissolution occurs again and again. The condition of caking may more and more serious. When the percent of small granules and water or pressure is high, caking will aggravate.A new anti-caking agency is developed by analysis of mechanism.
