For most flow simulations of injection molding, some parts of the mold may produce significantly pressure variation during solution procedure, which cause the mesh distortion and the inaccuracy of the result, so we must remesh the mold. As far as injection molding flow simulations are concerned, an optimal the mesh is very important.Adaptive finite element method is based on initial mesh, through calculation and posteriori error estimation decides to whether to increase elements or not, and the size of elements is changed at the same time. A better mesh may be obtained. Calculate once more until the error estimator converges to the exact error. The method shows that where pressure gradient is larger the mesh is enriched because the discrete error is bigger.Adaptive h refinement is used popularly, so a posteriori error estimation based on h refinement is used in this paper. The achievements included:1. Apart from forming the basis of adaptive mesh refinement procedures designed to control and minimize the error and achieve the user prescribed accuracy, a posteriori error estimators can also be used as an independent measure of the quality of the finite element solution. Indeed it is now widely accepted that the assessment of the accuracy of the finite element solution by a posteriori error estimation is necessary for any practical computations.2. Through adaptive analysis, make sure the relation between pressure gradient and fluidity S.3. Through resort node, obtain optimal band width.4. One dimension variable-bandwidth store method is used to store the data of global matrix.5. The energy norm is chosen to assess error distribution of pressure fields.A posteriori error estimator technique is used in adaptive finite element method analysis system through programs in this paper which are written using Visual C++ 6.0 Language.
