In this article, composite photocatalyst TiO2-Al2O3 was made, then applying it to clarify light-contaminated water. Researches have showed that: composite photocatalyst TiO2-Al2O3 has the potential to degrade pollutants by ultraviolet (UV) rays, meanwhile, this is a very safe and reliable way for light-contaminated water treatment. The ability of composite photocatalyst TiO2-Al2O3 of degradation CODcr in light-contaminated water can reach to 95.5%.In my experiments, Al(0H)3 gelatin was made by Sol-gel, Aluminium dioxide converted from Al(0H)3 at the temperature of 500℃ , under this calcination temperature, γ - Al2O3 formed.In the progress of making composite photocatalyst TiO2-Al2O3 ,γ -Al2O3 was immerged into the mixed solution, which was mixed by Titanium n-butoxide (TBOT) and pure alcohol. Effects of the mixed solution concentration ,calcination temperature of immerged material,activation time,UV-vis lighting time were investigated, in order to make a high performance composite photocatalyst TiO2-Al2O3.Meanwhile, Ag-based activated-Carbon (Ag-AC) was made for later sequencing water treatment procedure, after the former water treatment progress of applying composite photocatalyst TiO2-Al2O3 by photocatalysis. Ag-based activated-Carbon (Ag-AC) has the potential to disinfect microorganisms and able to remove organic contaminants.Regenerating composite photocatalyst TiO2-Al2O3 which reached its limitation of photocatalysis, and after that put it back into the application of water treatment.The γ -Al2O3 and TiO2(which has already based on the surface of 7 - Al2O3 ) were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD),Sanning electron microscopy (SEM), Surface area testing.
