The pollution of organic pesticide has become the great problem in the world. How to analysis and which method would be taken to do with it, which is much interested in most of country in the world to research. Electrochemical method is a green technology that has been wide used to analysis and remove to pollution materials. In this paper, the electrochemical properties of the Bup is systematically analyzed by means of a series of methods. At first, electrochemical behavior of Bup has been examined by means of cyclic voltammetry(CV), linear sweep voltammetry(LSV), chronocoulometry(CC), differential pulse voltammetry(DPV) and square wave voltammetry(SWV), and DPV and SWV for determination of Bup in actual samples have been established. The experimental results indicate that the electrode process of Bup on the surface of glassy carbon electrode is corresponding to a irreversible two-protons and two-electrons with strong absrption.Secondly, in viewing of the electrode process, the reduction on the glassy carbon electrode in a constant ionic strength Britton-Robinson buffer solution (I=0.5) was investigated by EIS. The equivalent circuit was built. The following results are concluded: (1) The electrochemical reduction process of Bup on the glassy carbon electrode is involving charge transfer, strong adsorption of electroactive species, and particulate pervasion. (2) The pH value of the solution, the concentration of Bup, the reaction temperature can make important influence on the electrochemical reduction system. Finally, the treatment of Bup waste water with Electro-Fenton reagent was studied. The electrobath takes iron as anode and a graphite stick as cathode, with the air blowing to the cathode. During electrolysis, H2O2 and Fe2+ formed Electro-Fenton reagent, which produced a great amount of active·OH to effectively remove the Bup. Under optimum operation condition, the Bup removal rate of was over 90%. It is shown the good removal effect and low cost.
