Due to the special characteristics of rules of overburden layer's movement and strata behavior in the large mining height fully-mechanized face, the dissertation has chiefly studied the characteristics and laws of strata behavior and stress fields, displacement fields and plastic failure fields of wall rock in the large mining height fully-mechanized face by the methods of field measurements, theoretical analysis, numerical simulation and etc. At last, the coal-rock compoound mechanics model is established and used for roof control in the great mining height workface.According to the results, it is indicated that the characteristics of strata behavior in the large mining height fully-mechanized face are particular with these of other mining technology under the different geological conditions. It is especially included that the load of support in the workface is bigger 10 to 30 percent than the general mechanized faces, that the coefficient of dynamic load is littler and there is no impact load when weighting, that the weighting of main roof obviously occurs but its intensity is not strong, that the load of powered support mostly belong to static load in the face, that the support load and coefficient of dynamic load are bigger during the periodic ground pressure than during the first weighting, and that there is more reducing load...
