Study On The Influencing Factors And Control Of The Activated Sludge Bulking

Activated sludge process is effective and promising wastewater treating technology. However, no matter which improved activated sludge process, sludge bulking is one of the main problems hard to be solved in operation and management of activated sludge process since it appeared. Although many achievements have been made, they always seem diverse and independent from each other and have not come into an integral system. Furthermore, the results on the relationship between the factors such as DO, organic load, balance of nutrient fluid and sludge bulking are still confusing.The purpose of the experiment is to look for and confirm the running environments and conditions of the cause of sludge bulking. Sludge bulking is induced developing and then controlled to original status artificially by the changing environment. This experiment adopts SBR technic and runs with artificial wastewater as the culture. Two cylinder vessels made by organic glass have the exactly same volume and shape.
