Research On Fabrication Processes Of Al-Ti-C Grain Refiners Based On SHS-meting Technology

AI-Ti-C grain refiners have been prepared by SHS(self-propagating high-temperature synthesis)-melting technology from Titanium and carbon powders.Titanium and carbon powders were used for the performs.Certain amount of prepared performs were added into molten aluminum.The melts finally were cast into steel mould to produce ingots.The effect of some process parameters,such as the kinds of Titanium and carbon,surface condition of graphite,adding ways of graphite,adding temperture of the the performs,a little magnesium powders,aluminum particle size,C:Ti, deformation,remelt and so on were investigated by optical microscope (OM),x-ray diffraction (XRD) (Model Y-2000),scanning electron microscopy (SEM) (Model JSU-6700F, Japan),energy-dispersion spectral...
