In the recent years, the rapid determination of heavy metal in the environment and food has been focused on and received a lot of attention. Basically, the determination of heavy metal in the environment and food is in the phase of in situ sampling and analyzing in the laboratory. However, generally on the basis of the national standards or the vocational standards, the laboratory determination proceeded so complicated and lengthy that it was difficult to meet the requirement of production and market. With the experimental research, this paper used a portable spectrophotometer, optimized the selected conditions of the experimental regents, such as the chromogenic reagents, the buffer reagents, the inhibitors, the solubilizing reagents, combined into the ampoule reagents, integrated with the computer, then determined water sample immediately, simplified the analytical process and supplied a new analytical method for the rapid determination the water sample on the scene.A fast photometric method was established for the concentration determination of the manganese, cobalt, nickel in water. In the method, PAN used as the chromogenic reagent, the best determining conditions for manganese concentration measurement and cobalt and nickel concentrations determined simultaneously were obtained, namely the maximum absorption wavelength of manganic complex 560 nm, the determination wavelength of cobaltic compound 580 nm, 518 nm and of nickel complex was 570 nm, 592 nm. The detection limit of the three elements was 0.008, 0.01 and 0.01 μg/ml, respectively. The average recovery efficiency was 82.9% 109.2% and the relative standard deviation all less than 5%. The sample results have no significance different compared with ICP-AES method.A rapid photometric means was founded for the determination of lead in water. In this means, T(DBHP)P was the chromogenic reagent, the maximum absorption wavelength of plumbeous complex was 479 nm. Under the best test conditions, the standard curve was accomplished with linear correlation range of 0.06 1.00 μg/ml. The liner regression equation was y=0.894x-0.022, the correlation coefficient was 0.9994 and the Moore absorbance coefficient ε is 2.8 ×105 L·mol-1cm(-1. The detection limit was 0.02 μg/ml, the recovery efficiency was 85.0%102.0% and the relative standard deviation was less than 7%. The results have no significance different compared with hydride generation atomic- fluorescence spectrometry. The Rapid Determination Method of Manganese, Cobalt, Nickel and Lead in Water was fast, simple and accurate. It can be regarded as an effective measure for the determination of...
