MTBE is also highly soluble in water. It is the theoretical and practical significant to study the transfer and accumulation rule in water systems and toxicity to aquatic creature. Eichhornia crassipes, crucian and carp were taken in the study as research object. The purpose of the study is to establish pretreatment methods, and find the effect of MTBE on physiological and biochemical traits of Eichhornia crassipes, crucian and carp, and the transfer and accumulation in water systems and toxicity are to aquatic creature.1. Optimization study on pretreatment methods, compared with liquid nitrogen flash Freezer grinding homogenate method and mechanical homogenate means at room temperatures. When the additives of MTBE was 0.37,3.70μ g, Averge recovery of liquid nitrogen flash freezer grinding homogenate method increased 8.1% to 5.4% than mechanical homogenate means. Liquid nitrogen flash freezer grinding homogenate method is suitable for the pretreatment of samples in laboratory when the samples are small batch.2. Effect of MTBE concentration on dry matter accumulation of Eichhornia crassipes was not significant difference between lower concentration treatments and control at 7d(P>0.05),but also between lower concentration treatments. It was a very significant difference between higher concentration treatments and control (P<0.05). It was not significant difference between lower concentration treatments and control at 15d(P>0.05),too. Higher concentration treatments was a very significant difference compared with lower concentration treatments and control(P<0.05). Higher concentration of MTBE can promote the dry matter accumulation of Eichhornia crassipes.3. MTBE concentration and continuous stress had effect on chlorophyll synthesis of Eichhornia crassipes. The data of experiment exhibited that Chl.a content was increased significantly when MTBE concentration was lower than 7.4 mg/L, then it was decreased slowly when MTBE concentration was higher than 7.4 mg/L. Chl.b was not significant effect. The content of Carotenoid in Eichhornia crassipes leavies was being at stable with the perceptual tolerance MTBE.4. The content of free proline in Eichhornia crassipes leavies treatments was higher than control at 7 d and 15 d, and the content of free proline at 15 d was higher...
