In a equal long time after entering 21 centuries,artificial plank market in world will keeps an opposite stability to the need of artificial plank, and the demand of LVL is growing gradually.On this condition,as the baseplate of artificial plank,veneer produce demands a higher level in the skill and the outside quality. The point of this text lies in the method to test MOE of veneer.In this paper,the research progeesses, application and existing problems of LVL and wood non-destructive evaluation technique especially stress wave technique in abroad and home are intruduced.The paper also studies systematically on the propagation theories of stress wave in veneer as one- dimensional flexible wave and describes the significance of veneer's MOE testing.According to the testing principles and the propagation theories of stress wave in veneer,the stress wave testing system to detect veneer's MOR is desigued.This system can test veneer's performance non-destructively,expediently,simply,well and truly.At the same time,it can give evaluation of veneer's rate.Lastly,the paper offers testing methods to validate the system's function.The theories analysis,testing system design and experiment results prove that the stress wave method can testing the MOR of veneer.The research result of this paper will has higher theoretical significance and application values to testing veneer's performance and structure by using stress wave techniques and use or produce LVL availability.
