This paper mostly made the prediction of extractive solvent, the experiment of vapor-liquid equilibrium(VLE) and the data correlation. At the same time, made the process simulation and the smaller size experiment of the extractive distillation with alkali.Predicted the feasibility of ethylene glycol, diethylene glycol and triethylene glycol as the extractive solvent of extractive distillation of isopropanol-water mixture by UNIFAC model. Measured the VLE data of isopropanol-water-pure solvent system, isopropanol- water-solvent with potassium acetate system and isopropanol-water-solvent with alkali system on the normal atmospheric pressure at different ratio of solvent. The data showed that all of the solvents selected were able to enhance the relative volatility of isopropanol-water, the relative volatility increased with the ratio of solvent, the effect of ethylene glycol with potassium hydroxide...
