Mg65Cu25Y7Nd3 bulk amorphous alloy was prepared by copper mould casting method and the isothermal compression behavior of Mg65Cu25Y7Nd3 bulk amorphous alloy nearby the glass transition temperature (Tg) or at temperatures in the supercooled liquid region was studied. It is indicated that the plastic deformation of Mg65Cu25Y7Nd3 bulk amorphous alloy depends strongly on the reheating temperature and the loading time. Mg65Cu25Y7Nd3 bulk amorphous alloy has certain plasticity at 423K, while it shows good plasticity in the supercooled liquid region. Based on systematic experiments, the optimum ranges of reheating temperature is 443-463K and the loading time is about 10min. The microstructure variation during the plastic deformation has also been analyzed. It is proposed that the compression deformation has no significant effect on the crystallization behavior of Mg65Cu25Y7Nd3 bulk amorphous alloy under conditions employed in the present work.Mg65Cu25Y10-xNdx(x=0,1,3) amorphous alloy ribbon was prepared by single-roll melt-spun method and the isothermal tension behavior of Mg65Cu25Y10 amorphous alloy ribbon in the supercooled liquid region was studied. It is indicated that Mg65Cu25Y10 amorphous alloy ribbon has certain plastic deformation behavior and obtained the greatest 143% elongation ratio under certain temperature and strain rate. Viscous flow of Mg65Cu25Y10 amorphous alloy depends on the treating temperature and...
