Studies On Preparation And Application Of Alkaline Ca-Bent

Bentonite is one kind of layered materials and its major mineral composition is montmorillonite. Being its excellent properties, the natural or modified bentonite has been widely used in industry, agriculture and environmental protection. However it is lack of the anion exchange capability, the application of the bentonite is hindered.In order to broaden the application of bentonite, a kind of alkaline Ca-bent with anion exchange capability and its preparing method have been proposed in this paper. The bentonite was prepared by activated clay and calcium hydroxide by the dry process. On the basis of comprehensive analysis of several influence factors, the optimum parameters for preparing the alkaline Ca-bent were given through single-factor experiments. At the same time, the capability of the bentonite was also investigated. The calcium ion stability was determined at acidic condition and the presence of strong cations.
