Molasses wastewater was a type of high concentration and acidic organic effluent, which was not disposable easily for its dark color, high COD and BOD. Presently, physi-chemical technology and utilization of resources were mainly applied to Molasses wastewater treatment, however, either of them had disadvantages. Catalytic ozonation was used to disposal of molasses wastewater in this work, tentatively. As a branch of advanced oxidation process(AOP), catalytic ozonation for Molasses wastewater treatment was an emerging green technology, for ozone was a high efficiency, eco-friendly oxidant without second pollution.The key problem of enhancing efficiency of catalytic ozonation was how to produce sustainable and large amounts of active groups such as OH· radical.
