Three HAB algae (Heterosigma akashiwo Hada,Alexandrium tamarense (Lebour) Balech and Skeletonema costatum(Greville)Cleve ) are studied in this thesis.Under invariable ecological conditions(T: 22±1℃;Photo density: 3000±110 lx; Photoperiod (L:D): 14:10), the effect of 5 nutrient factors (nitrate, phosphate, silicate, iron and manganese) with 4 different concentrations (0,f/2,f,2f) on the growth and reproduction of 3 HAB algae is studied. The orthogonal test contains 16 treatments with 3 replicates respectively. During the experiment, the concentrations of nutrient are determined 5 times according to the growth of three algae, while the cell density is determined by a haemacytometer every day.The results are as follows:1,Heterosigma akashiwo Hada achieves the optimal growth under conditions of treatment 16, where the cell density amounts to 892.9 thousand per milliliter in stationary phase. The growth cycle lasts 20d.2,The optimal growth of Alexandrium tamarense (Lebour) Balech is achieved under treatment 11, and the cell density amounts to 1750 thousand per milliliter in stationary phase. The growth cycle lasts 21 days.3,Skeletonema costatum(Greville)Cleve grows best under treatment 8 conditions, whose cell density amounts to 585.4 thousand per milliliter in stationary phase. The growth cycle lasts 11 days.4,With the addition of nutrients, 3 HAB algae grow faster than before. So does the cell density of 3 HAB algae in the stationary phase.5,Without other nutrients, the addition of different concentrations of nitrate has little effect on the growth rate of 3 HAB algae. With other nutrients, the addition of...
