Phosphogypsum (PG) is an industrial by-product derived from phosphoric acid manufactures by dehydrate process. The accumulation of PG not only occupied huge land, but also made potential harmfulness for air, earth's surface and water quality. At present, many countries are facing with these problems while developing phosphorus industry. Practice proved that PG can be transformed to other valuable products. one of the optimistic ways is transform sulphur element to soluble SO42-. This process is not difficult, but the economic and environmental profit should be taken into account. Now, the widely used method is transforming PG to potassium sulfate by to-step conversion. But it is a high consume process, and needs more ammonium bicarbonate as raw material. Its by-product CO2 is also unamiable gas for environment. So we should look for new process which can protect environment better.According to the recirculation process for multi-production of fertilizer- chlorine-sodium carbonate from the residuals of natural gas desulfurization ,which was put forward by Pro.Zhu Jia-hua, this paper's aim is transforming PG with flue gas. If the process can make feasible work, it can not only solve the problem of accumulation of PG, but can eliminate the harmfulness of CO2 in flue gas to the environment. The principle of utilization of phosphogypsum and flue gas as follows:...
