With the development of galvanization, metallurgy, leather madding, chemical industry and printing and dyeing, a lot of the waste water contain heavy metal was let into nature environment and pollute the environment badly. Cr(VI) pollution is relative serious, chromium is in the environment as Cr(VI) and Cr(III) forms and the toxicity of Cr(VI) is more one hundred times than Cr(III). Cr(VI) is excitive for skin and can make skin canker, if contact Cr(VI) chronically, it will result in sarcoma, thallus epithelium cancer, adenocarcinoma and so on. The traditional technology deal with Cr(VI) is physical and chemical method, such as sulfite reducing method. Although these methods were used in galvanization and metallurgy industry widely, there were many problems such as the costs were expensive and the efficiency was low. At present, with the rise of biorestore technology, the scientists in the all of the world focus on the study on deal with the waste water contain heavy metal. In the nature environment, especially in the environment polluted by Cr(VI), various microorganisms can reduce chromium from toxicity highly and a soluble form to toxicity lowly and a insoluble form. At present, the microorganisms can reduce Cr(VI) main include Pseudomonas, Escherichia coli, Enterobacter cloacae, Sulfate-reducing Bacteria and so on. However, there is short of the study on the mechanism of microorganisms removal Cr(VI).The name Sulfate-reducing bacterium is a general appellation of a genus...
