N-Arylnucleobases are very important compounds because of their significant pharmaceutical, biological, and chemical activities. But the synthesis of N-aryl- nucleobases are very fussy. In recent years, much attention have been fixed on the reations of N-arylation with arylboronic acids, the introduction of arylboronic acids as reaction partners has been a significant improvement over previous methods. In this thesis, we bent ourself to look for a more general and efficient method for N-arylation reaction of nucleobase. In this dissertation, mild and efficient avenue for the direct N-arylation of nucleobases with arylboronic acids catalyzed by simple copper salt, which is cost-effective and easy to handle without the need for an insert atmosphere, was firstly developed. The N-arylnucleobases were obtained in excellent yields at room temperature within 45 min while methanol and water were used as mixed solvent.
