Numerical Simulation Of Flow Field For The ESP With Transverse Collecting Plates

After reading a lot of documentation, the fundamental theory of two-phase flow in the ESP with transverse collecting plates is deducted and the comparison of different two-phase flow models is made. Numerical simulating computation on 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional flow field in the ESP with transverse collecting plates have carried out in this paper , in which a k ?ε2-equation model has been adopted to simulate the flow field, and the computation is based on the SIMPLE algorithm, discrete phase model is adopted for two-phase simulation. There are three different velocity of ESP inlet for variety of interior flow field. The variety of pressure, velocity and particle track in the ESP with transverse collecting plates was simulated. It is the gas-solid two-phase flow. The result is compared with the test data. The model adopted is reasonable by result. Some operation rule is got. The reference is referred for the operation and design of the ESP with transverse collecting plates.
