Vegetation landscapes respond to tourism disturbance on different aspects. To strengthen ecological management on Wutai Mountain tourism region, Shanxi, the ecological response of forest vegetation is studied from their recognition, population and community structure, bio-diversity in disturbing and non-disturbing regions.Firstly, the types, patterns of forest vegetation, and so on are analyzed by TWINSPAN, DCA and CCA in recognition. It shows that: (1) 76 samples are divided into 13 communities, and different regions are restrained from the variable factors through the communities succession from disturbing region to non-disturbing region from left to right. Communities discriminating for different disturbance in disturbing region, but elevation in non-disturbing region. (2) Every type has its own distribution scale and boundaries in the DCA ordination figure. The elevation and slope of every community increase gradually from bottom to up in non-disturbing region, but the DCA first axis relates to tourism impacting index in disturbing region. (3) Most communities distribute densely in CCA ordination figure, which make the boundaries muzzy among communities and "arch effect" clear. At the same time, plant communities success with elevation and slope from left to right along the first axis of CCA in non-disturbing region, while they vary with tourism impacting index along the second axis of CCA in disturbing region. (4) DCA is better than CCA on describing the relationship among communities. CCA is better than DCA on analyzing between communities and environment, however, if combined with classification, the effect of DCA is better than CCA.Secondly, population structure is studied on plant flora and plant life form. It shows that: (1) The genus and species are abundant and they reflect different by...
