The High Damping Blends of Natural Rubber(NR)and Epoxidized Natural Rubber(ENR-44) had been studied in the technology condition,the NR/ ENR-44 blending ratio,the curing system,the filler type,loading level and the softener level. The mechanical properties and dynamic mechanical properties of NR/ENR-44 vulcanizate were measured. The properties and the structure of vulcanizates were investigated by SEM,DMA,TG,DTG and RPA.The study of technology on high damping NR/ENR Blends showed that the best blending schedule is two rubbers blending before the compounding agents added;the best blending time is 4min after the sulphur was added. In our setting range,the optimum vulcanizing temperature and vulcanizing pressure of NR/ ENR-44 blends are 145℃and 12MPa.The investigation of formula on High Damping Blends showed that the better comprehensive mechanical properties of the vulcanizate were obtained when the NR/ENR blending ratio was 60/40. Either CV , SEV or EV was selected as the curing system, the blends would reach better properties. A good balance between the dynamic property and the thermal-oxydative ageing property on the blend vulcanizates were obtained when curing system is SEV and the S/CZ/DM ratio of 1.5/1.5/0.5;There was a good balance among tensile strength and heat build-up and damping property on blend vulcanizes filled with moderate size carbon black;The mechanical properties of vulcanizate filled with N660/N330 and N660/N990 were medium between two carbon black filled individual. The mechanical properties of blend vulcanizates filled with N660/silic(a40/20) and N660/ CaCO3( 45/15)were similar to the mechanical properties of the blend vulcanized filled with N660,and the mechanical properties of vulcanizate filled with N660/clay is poor. Different size carbon black mixing and carbon black mixing with inorganic filler can decrease the dynamic storage modulus(E′)and broaden the damping range of NR/ENR damping material. E′of blends decreased and the peak of tanδincreased and Tg moved in the direction of low temperature as soften agents were added. Very good thermal-oxydative ageing property of blend vulcanizes were obtained with the addiction of a combination with chemical anti-ageing agents 4010 and D and physical anti-ageing agent paraffin.
