Monolithic catalysts are uni-body structures composed of interconnected repeating, regular cells or channels, on which the active components are coated. It can be used in the high exothermic/endotherrnic coupling reaction, which can improve greatly the utility of energy sources, and achieve the thermal integration, facility integration and process integration. In this study, the methane catalytic combustion as the exothermic model reaction and the dehydrogenation of industrial long-chain alkane as the endothermic model reaction were investigated respectively. The appropriate metallic monolithic catalysts for methane catalytic combustion and supported catalysts for the dehydrogenation of industrial long-chain alkane were prepared. The structure and the activity of the catalysts were investigated. The works can provde the valuable datas for the coupling reaction. In the high exothermic methane combustion reactions, the Co1-xMgxO/ Al2O3/FeCrAl (x=0-1) catalysts were prepared. The structure of the catalysts was characterized using XRD, SEM and TPR. The catalytic activity and stability of the catalysts for the combustion of methane was evaluated in a...
