Hollow fiber renewal liquid membrane, based on the surface renewal theory, is a new type of liquid membrane technology that combines hollow fiber contained liquid membrane with fiber membrane extraction technica. It not only exhibits the characteristics of traditional liquid membrane technology, but it also has its own special advantages. The stability of the hollow fiber renewal liquid membrane was studied experimentally using SO42- as tracer. The leakage from tube side to shell side and from shell side to tube side was measured. The influence of hollow fiber membrane material, flow velocity on tube and shell sides, and the concentration of the tracer anion on the leakage were investigated. Results show that the stability of hollow fiber renewal liquid membrane was fine and the leakage less than 0.01%.The transport mechanism of facilitated and unfacilitated mass transfer was studied systematically. Hexanolactam-benzene-pure water and Cr(VI)-TBP/kerosene-NaOH as two experimental systems which have strong...
