Gas dispersion in stirred tank is an important factor for gas-liquid reaction. So far, the study concentrates on experimental research and numerical simulation of single Rushton turbine. Very few numerical simulation researches on the gas-liquid flow in stirred tanks with multiple impellers were reported by using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD).Based on the Euler-Euler two-phase flow model, standard k-e turbulent model and multiple frames of reference (MFR) method, gas-liquid system was simulated in this work. With commercial software FLUENT and the way of which deals with the bubble is single diameter bubble model not considering bubbles breakage and coalescence, gas-liquid system with multi-impeller (HEDT+2WH_U) is simulated. The influences of gas fluxes and impeller rotating speeds on power number, gassed power demand and overall gas holdup were studied, the simulated results are in good agreement with the corresponding experimental data. With commercial software CFX, using Multiple Size Group...
