In this paper we analyzed the structure characters of small cross-section profile pipe, and took a tentative experiment to mold the profile pipe. Based on the observed experiment phenomenon, we analyzed the reason of arosing the phenomenon and established the research scheme.The cross-section shape of small cross-section profile pipe is very complicated in shapes and diversiform in sizes, so the conception of "key dimension" was introduced and the relationship of the key dimensions of the product and the die was studied to provide a purposefiil and simple method f or the design of the die geometry. During the experiment, viscosity has significant effects on the extrusion. It is necessary to find a way which can indicate the melt's viscosity in the die and establish a relationship between the viscosity and the controllable processing parameters.
