Punching plunger extruder is a novel mechanical ram extruder which was developed based on hydraulic ram extruder and forge principle. The extruder provided a new continuous extrusion molding technology of UHMWPE. Punching plunger extruder can achieve high frequency and break feeding but continuous and steady extrusion. In this paper, punching plunger extrusion process was studyed in order to explain the process's characteristic mentioned above and provide theory references for practial process.In this paper, punching plunger extrusion process was discussed and the process's continuity was expounded.
