1,4-naphthoquinone is an important material of fine chemical engineering and widely used as the middle product of medicine, dye, spices, pesticide and plasticizing agent, it is the polymerization regulator for rubber and resin synthesis and also the important raw material to synthesize the new steaming assistant in paper making. Conventionally chemical synthesis of 1,4-naphthoquinone and Electro-oxidation, have the weaknesses such as heavy pollution and complex technological process. Product for 1,4-naphthoquinone by air-catalytic oxidation from naphthalene can overcome these defects and can be industrialized more easily. So the cost of 1,4-naphthoquinone by air-catalytic oxidation from naphthalene is low; The product of the process is mainly 1,4-naphthoquinone, and the by-product is easy to be separated from 1,4-naphthoquinone. This process is a green chemical technology of widely industrial application and has high value of economy, technology and environmental preservation. This paper has studied the catalysts for 1,4-naphthoquinone by air-catalytic oxidation from naphthalene .Firstly, the experiments have been done to select the active component of the catalysts for 1,4—naphthoquinone by air-catalytic oxidation from naphthalene, we have carried out the parallel experiments with the some active components which have been commonly used in this experiment, taken the activation of the catalysts for the parameter of optimization which always refer to the diversion of the naphthalene or the selectivity of 1,4 — naphthoquinone. Through these experiments , the conclusions have been drawn that the first-class active matter is V2O5. Furthermore it was found that compound catalyst has a high selectivity of 1,4-naphthoquinone .Secondly, through discussing effects of co-catalysts, the SnSO4 sodium borate are favorable catalysts to prepare 1,4-naphthoquinone. They can upraise the catalyst-selectivity. Through discussing effects of each-other, the catalyst have been optimized.Thirdly, through the studies of carriers of catalysts for preparation of 1,4—...
