Polyhydroxylated polybutadiene(PHPB) is one of important materials of adhesives and coatings. The quantity of hydroxyl within its molecular structure is much more compared to general polymer polyols, so the polyurethane film made by PHPB reacting with isocyanate takes on excellent abrasion resistance, flexibility, resistance to chemicals, solvent resistance, gloss, water resistance, heat stability and corrosion resistance.Hydroxyl terminated polybutadiene (HTPB) was epoxidized and ring opened in-situ with performic acid, by which polyhydroxylated polybutadiene (PHPB) was synthesized. In this paper, the effect of reaction temperature, time and feed proportion et al on synthesis of PHPB was investigated in detail through the viscosity and hydroxyl value of the product and the optimum synthesis conditions were determined on the basis of the orthogonal experimental results. PHPB was synthesized at the mol ratio of H2O2 to double bond 0.05 and formic acid to double bond 0.30, with reaction temperature 60℃and reaction time 4h. The viscosity and hydroxyl value of PHPB synthesized under these conditions attained better level. The chemical structure of PHPB was affirmed by using Fourier transformation infrared (FTIR) technology and the results showed that the structure of PHPB was essentially consistent with expectant target.PHPB reacted with amidogen condensate and synthesized the polyurethane coating, then adhesion, water absorption rate, salt water resistance and A.C.impedance of the polyurethane coat made by PHPB were studied. The penetration resistance, corrosion resistance and electrochemical protection were studied by comparing the film made by PHPB with the film made by HTPB. The results showed that the adhesion of the polyurethane film made by PHPB lay between one grade and two grade, a bit better than that of the polyurethane film made by HTPB. Water absorption rate of the polyurethane film made by PHPB was 1.0840%, a little less than that of the polyurethane film made by HTPB. In addition, immersion experiment in salt water and A.C.impedance test showed that corrosion velocity of the polyurethane film made by PHPB was relatively slower. All results showed that the polyurethane film made...
