The construction of the CRI system is connected with the climate and soil characteristics highly, Presently, the domestic experimental reports about the W/D ratio mainly aim at the northern climate and soil features, and is rather limited, whereas, the correlative reports about the southern features is more scarce. Aiming at the climate and soil characteristics of the Three-Gorges Reservoir Region, this article emphatically discusses seven media(purple soil, yellow soil, sand, yellow sand, soil-sand blend, crockery, acree) and three aeration methods(wet/dry operation, pipes, plants), also researches the construction in Three-Gorges Reservoir Region and the relevant operation performance.Through the pure water infiltration test and reciprocal analysis, we finish the first choice of the medium(purple soil, yellow soil, soil-sand blend) in the treatment layer and the confirmation of the medium(crockery, acree) in the bear layer. Through the wasterwater infiltration test, we confirm the medium(purple soil, soil-sand blend) in the treatment layer. And then through the water supplyment test we confirm the dry time. The hydraulic loading upgrades from 0.08 m3/ m2·d. Wet time is 1 day, and dry time are 2 day, 3day, 4day.Aiming at the aeration velocity of the system, this article discusses the referred three aeration methods'influence on the performance of the CRI system, the results indicate that wet/dry reaeration is the highest efficiency among wet/dry ratio,plant,air pipe reaeration ways, and the best combination is wet/dry time and canna. Under the best condition, the configuration(purple+crockery+acree)'s average COD,NH4+-N,TN,TP concentration is 50.0mg/L,7.9mg/L,20.6mg/L,0.9mg/L respectively, which can basically achieve the required standards.Combining the results of operation tests, Compared with the index in"Process desigen manual for land treatment of municipal wastewater",this thesis discusses the suitablity of CRI system in the small towns of the Three-Gorges Reservoir Region. The results suggest that the application of the system in the Three-Gorges Reservoir Region has the advantages of low investment, convenient management, saving energy, economic, slinkiness and so on.
