With the development of metallurgical industry and the increasing requirements of environmental protection, there is an increasing emphasis on recycling scraped refractories. This paper studies the preparation of Al2O3-SiC-C brick with phenol resin as the bonding agent. The main raw materials are stuffed carbon slide plate renewable materials, silicon carbide, white corundum, flake graphite, and some additions such as metal Al powder, Si powder and borate glass powder. Main research work includes the following:1.The influences of metallic Al powder and Si powder on material performance are discussed. In the experiments, material performance add metallic Al powder and Si powder separately and simultaneously are investigated. The results show: 2% aluminite powder and 4% siliconite powder can apparently enhances the material oxidation resistance.2.The influence of the waste brick addition on material performance is studied. In this section, the influences of wase brick on strength, bolk density and apparent porosity of the sample in reducing atmosphere and the oxidation resistance in oxidizing atmosphere are studied. The results show: at 200℃,with the addition of waste brick increasing, strength and bolk density are falling slowly.3.Research the influnces of particle size distribution on material performance is discussed. In this section, the influncese of particle size distribution of raw materials to the strength, bolk density and apparent porosity of the sample are studied. It is showed that the bolk dentisity is improved and the porosity is reduced when coarse particle added by 40%, the particle size distribution is suitable.4.The research on slag resistance of the sample is discussed. In this part, the slag resistance of the sample is investigated in both reducing atmosphere and oxidizing atmosphere. The result show: in reducing atmosphere, the sample is not corroded; in oxidizing atmosphere, obvious corrosion can be found on contact zone of the sample, slag and air. But in the bottom of the sample, there is no obvious corrosion. With the addition of waste bricks increasing, the slag resistance of the sample is improving.
