Heap leaching is an effective means of the processing of low grade gold mine.The gold output produced by heap leaching accounts for 30% of the total gold output in the world. It is reported that the gold reserves achieve about 350t in the proved up oxidized ore in our country. This opened up broad possibilities for the heap leaching.At present, the period of gold heap leaching usually takes several month ,some tunes even a year. If we improve the heap leaching velocity of low grade gold ore, shorten the period of heap leaching, that the production cost could be reduced, the production capacity could be improved. It will speed up capital turnover and bring mines more economic benefits .This paper has studied particle size, consistency of NaCN, sprinkling intensity, and leaching assistant effecting on the heap leaching velocity of Inner Mongolia 217 gold ore by laboratory column leaching test.It is showed that the heap leaching velocity improved with the diminishing of the ore particle size. And the heap leaching velocity can be improved by using high consistency of NaCN and suitable sprinkling intensity. And it is showed that the heap leaching velocity can be improved by appended CaO2. Optimum process conditions were confirmed after column leaching experimentThis paper has researched the heap leaching velocity of low grade gold ore in order to boost the development of the gold ore heap leaching and contribute to the exploitation and utilization of low grade gold ore resources of China.
