Twin roll continuous caster is getting the extensive application in the aluminum processing, because it has littler investment, higher production and lower power consumption etc. so it is valued by the international community.The casting roll is constitute of the roll core and the roll shell, the casting roll acts as the crystallize machine and also acts as process tool in the casting process. The surface of casting roll experiences the hot impact by aluminum liquid and cold impact by the circulate water in the roll core also bear the huge loading force. This kind of periodic hot and cold alternation and deformed tension lead to mechanical fatigue and cause tiny crack on the surface of roll shell .At this time the casting roll shall be returned and reground, in the yield of roll shell life period also calls through quantity . it is very important how to raise the through quantity of the roll shell to lower the production cost . The main contents of this thesis analyses the reason for lose efficacy of the casting roll and put forward the related measure to raise through quantity of the roll shell. Through the theories analysis, research experiment and practice to verify and adopt these measures are valid.
