The anti-wear and extreme pressure lubricating oil additives have always been important in the research of lubricants. With the development of modern industry and an increasing notice put on environment protection, there are new requests on the development of lubricating oil additives such as studying highly efficient and multifunctional lubricating oil additives and ensuring no phosphor or zinc contained in additives. Large amounts of former research papers have proved that element nitrogen is helpful not only to form a protective film owning anti-wear and friction reduction properties during the sliding process, but also to alleviate the erosion caused by other active elements such as sulfur.Among many kinds of nitrogen and sulfur contained compounds, the N containing heterocyclic compounds are noticed due to their characteristics of compact structures, good thermal stability, being useful to synthesize new compounds combining different active elements and less harmful to environment. In this paper fifteen compounds as lubricating additves were synthesized and fourteen of them were novel, their preparative conditions were investigated, molecular structures of the compounds were confirmed by IR,UV,1H NMR,13C NMR,MS and elementary analysis. Moreover, the tribological behavior of the synthetic compounds as additive in liquid paraffin were evaluated with a four-ball machine. It Studies them in various deliquescence ,The results show that these compounds as additives in liquid paraffin increase the load-carrying capacity. All the derivatives start to thermally decompose above 97℃,and it does hot stability carry on the evaluation.According to the analysis of their molecular structures, it can be considered that during the sliding process, nitrogen atom has conjugated with the empty d atomic orbit of the metal through its lone pair electrons. With S element contained in the compounds, the influence on the load carrying capacity of the base oil was enhanced. It may be due to the formation of FeS2 and FeSO4 compounds on the worn surface that a protective film was formed.
