Wind erosion is one of the most serious ecological problems and is paid widely attention in the whole world. The generation of the sandstorm has brought critical mischief and threatens to environment, natural resources, social economy development and people's daily life. So risk assessment of Sandstorm disaster is the precondition and foundation to implement various measures to control wind erosion scientifically and effectively.A case study was carried out in Daxing District, which is located in the southern suburb of Beijing. In this thesis, using integrated approaches of remote sensing method, field investigation, geographical information system, and principle of wind erosion, we assess the risk of wind erosion in Daxing country and find out the area where the risk of wind erosion is high and provide some scientific advice for environmental risk administration in the future. This paper includes several parts as follow:By analysis the weather data and the history of landform changing, we find the rich sandy land, dry in spring and the high frequency strong wind are three main reason of sandstorm hazard in case district. For the sandy land information extraction, this study chose three RS image in three difference year which is make in 1996, 2001 and 2005. We use these RS images, soil type and other data to find the sandy land. The sandy land is defined as the source of windstorm disaster.Unlike the traditional assessment which chose some indicator to overlay to find out...
