Soil is one of the important elements in the environment, and also the valuable natural resource related with human beings' life. Meanwhile, soil is the base of agriculture and the purificant of natural environment. Amounts of toxicants and injurants had been let off in soil by humankind' activities, and inevitably caused severe damage to the soil's ability to adjust itself, leading to the soil pollution, destruction, degeneration and even vanishing. China is rich in natural resources with the rapid development of mining, yet it's at the tremendous cost of environment. For instance, the soil pollution caused by the mining activities is rather serious. So the present researcher should strengthen the inspecting and evaluating measurement Of environment. It is extremely urgent to provide with fathering scheme and evidence for the government to solve the problem.Shann xi Tongguan gold mining area was selected as our representative example. The heavy metals from farmland soil and crops in these four environmental and geochemical landscape areas were sampled and investigated to evaluate the pollution of soil and heavy metals as well as analyzing the correlation between them. Finally the related characteristic of heavy metals pollution from both the soil and the cropper can be concluded.The thesis has adopted single and synthetic pollution index to evaluate the heavy metals' pollution from farmland in this researching area. The results showed that all the heavy metal elements had polluted the farmland soil except Cr and the most serious elements are Hg, Pb and Cu. In the research of heavy metals' pollution of farmland soil in different landscape areas, we found that the pollution in the alluvial terrace around Shuangqiao River ranked the first, followed by the pollution in the inclined primary of alluvium before southern mountain, then the Yellow River and Wei River alluvial plains' pollution as the lightest. At the same time, the status of heavy metals in this research area was evaluated by single and synthetic pollution index, and the result showed different degree of heavy metal elements accumulation.The pollution levels of heavy metals in the crops suggested all the inspected...
