Thin-walled components and thin shafts can both be included in the field of low rigidity structure parts. The characteristic of these kind components is poor rigidity, easy to deform under the cutting forces in machining and difficult to ensure its machining accuracy using the traditional machining craft techniques. It highly needs to develop a new method to settle with these problems. This paper majored in research of the distortions of thin-walled structure components and also put the thin shaft as a special example to study. At the same time the machining errors caused by cutting force were presented in this paper. The deformed curve faces were also emulated though simulation and calculation. The main works in this thesis can be concluded as the followings:(1)Building and analyzing the force models of milling thin-walled components and thin-shafts. An appropriate milling force model is introduced to simulate thin-walled components. From the milling forces model the milling(cutting) forces were calculated .The another method to get the cutting forces for the thin-shafts was through simulation from the FEM software. Based on the existed theories and force models, the FEM model as built to simulation the deflection of thin-walled parts and thin-shaft in the machining processes.
