In different geological conditions natural gas is generated, conveied, and it is stored in underground structures. China is one of the old countries that explore and use natural gas in the world, according to historical records; there were 3,000 years of history. In the next century, natural gas is likely to replace oil as the most important primary energy, because natural gas is clean fuel and raw material, in the development of the world economy it plays an increasingly important role.In recently, natural gas is used widespread in our industry and daily life, in the 1980s, in order to need of the national product and life, we have taken the policy of "oil and gas simultaneously," so the natural gas industry has been an unprecedented development;in the 21st century natural gas will be vital quality energy. With natural gas exploration, development, operation, technological progress and the growing concerning of environment, developing the gas industry has become one of contemporary progress trend in the world, but in oil fields of the world, natural gas is the weakest link, but as a quality and efficient energy development potential is greatest.Based on the classification and evaluation of gas reservoir and integrated with theoretical foundation developed by former researcher, the basic characteristics and development technical requirements of gas reservoir are presented in the thesis, and the classification and evaluation of reserves of gas reservoir is studied, providing theoretical foundation for the development of gas reservoir. Through the research on characteristics of gas reservoir, the feasibility of development is confirmed, aimed at the basic features of this gas reservoir, a variety of theoretical approaches are used to compute the geologic reserves, recoverable reserves, economical recoverable reserves and recovery efficiency, providing the theoretical basis for the development of gas reservoir of Lamadian oilfield.
