In the three ways, the kinds of post-press equipment are the most. Digital printing post-press equipment is mainly divided automatic booking machine,foldout machine,cutting-paper machine and so on.A kind of thickness sensing and a kind of prefabricated specification instrument in the post-press equipment of digital printing are introduced in this paper.The thickness sensing instrument with the eddy current sensor is mainly used on automatic booking machine. It answers for the sensing of thickness of paper to judge the integrity of paper. At present, the thickness sensing instruments equipped on the domestic automatic bookbinding machine relies on importing completely. It costs too much and takes long time, and it is difficult to maintain.The prefabricated specification instrument is used on foldout machine. At present, the prefabricated specification is accomplished by handwork on the equipment by manufactured in the domestic factory, few companies carry out automation in global countries. This way not only wastes of manpower and time, but also influences the precision of paper control.This paper analyzes study process of in detail the thickness sensing instrument with the eddy current sensor and the prefabricated specification instrument, that includes the design of hardware and software. By the practice test, the thickness sensing instrument can check out the disqualification paper. The precision is more than a normal paper, that contents the customer. At present, the instrument has been applied to the product line of automatic bookbinding machine successfully. And the prefabricated specification instrument has been accomplished in the laboratory, but it has not been checked in the factory.
