Using intermediate frequency induction cooker, according to the principle of in-situ reaction foundry particle reinforced metal matrix composites was produce, and successfully gained TiC, VC reinforced particles. Separately tested their mechanical properties, received nicer results.At present, the research about the fabrication technics of in situ synthesized ferrous matrix composites has become grown up , but the reports about heat treatment of ferrous matrix composites is few. This paper systemically studied the eat treatment properties of ferrous matrix composite. The results showed that heat treatment had biggish influence to the mechanical properties of ferrous matrix composite. Different obdurability could be gained through different heat treatment. Therefore , according to practical demands, adopting relevant heat treatment, met practical demands to composites under different occasion . at the same time found that heat treatment could change the matrix microstructure of TiC/Fe, VC /Fe composite, using different heat treatment, gained different structure like pearlite, austenite , martensite ,etc, and for the same heat treatment, the properties of composite had accordingly changes along with different holding time.
