To explore the blast-furnace slag, and to develop an inexpensive and easily available adsorbent, the adsorption properties and dynamic adsorption breakthrough curve were determined through static and dynamic adsorption, respectively, which may provide the theroretic basis for the development of blast-furnace slag' adsorbent. Conclusions of this work were drawn as follow.(1) Blast-furnace slag has great adsorption capacity to Cu2+,Cr3+, with their removal over 90%, while it is weaked in adsorbing F- and PO43-.(2) The adsorption rate of the blast-furnace slag is greatly influenced by the particle size of blast-furnace slag ,while the adsorption capacity of the blast-furnace slag is little influenced by it. The adsorption efficiency is hardly subjected to the initial concentration , solution pH and water quality .(3) The optimum removal efficiency of Cr3+ appears when adsorption time was 30 minutes and the mass ratio of Cr3+ to blast-furnace slag equaled to...
