In China, the comprehensive utilization level of by-products in sugarcane factory is lower than other countries. Extraction and separation of higher aliphatic alkanol products from filter mud in sugarcane factory were discussed in this thesis, to develop a new way for the utilization of canesugar by-products and to provide raw materials of additives for functional food and medical & pharmaceutical industries. In this experiment, dry filter mud was taken as raw material to extract sugarcane wax, and higher aliphatic alkanol products were separated from sugarcane wax. Two methods of extracting sugarcane wax were mentioned, one was mat extraction of sugarcane lipids and wax separately by two-step processes, the other was that extraction of sugarcane wax directly by one-step process. Through refining techniques such as hydrate deliming of hydrochloric acid, delinking of fats & resins using acetone - isopropyl alcohol and decoloration using hydrogen peroxide, the crude sugarcane wax was purified and the refined sugarcane wax products was prepared, which purity can be by more than 90% and color was light yellow. After several processes such as saponification hydrolysis, calcifying, dehydration, the crude products of higher aliphatic alkanol were extracted from refined sugarcane wax through heating return installation with acetone solvent, and higher aliphatic alkanol crystal products, which productivity was 25% to 30%, were prepared through re-crystallization with n-hexane. The main composition of higher aliphatic alkanol crystal products were C20-C33 fatty alkanol through GC-MS spectral analysis, the purity of fatty alkanol reached 90.7%, in which the content of C28 fatty alkanol was 9.98%. In this research, to increase the production of higher...
