To improve the technique of design printing on fabric and the automatic degree of image design and manufacturing process, techniques of advanced computer processing, automatic controlling and mechatronic have been introduced to the automatic design and manufacture in Printing and Dying system, and as a result which highly improved the efficiency as compared to the traditional way of manual image design and manufacturing process.Among the automatic Printing and Dying tools, the computer aided design software offered strong functions. But owing to the increasing demand from the user, the performance of the software has always been the improving target. By far, however, there are no mature recipes for the autogeneration of complex character such as thinstem, orchid or mud point. Therefore the software developer hopes to achieve the autogenerative function to improve the productivity. In this paper, we mainly try to work out the autogeneration of thinstem through studying the recipe of corner detection. The work in this paper is carried out by cooperation with KaiYuan Co, Ltd. With KaiYuan's CAD software—Anseries as the developing platform, we get the thinstem character using the color-partition tools, and then work out recipes to get boundaries. Considering the characteristic of thinstem, we break out the traditional thoughts of creating new boundary by smoothing noise, and get the most important corner character and part of cross point by integration of several corner detection recipes, and simultaneously get the smooth boundary. Then we rebuild the new boundary by using the information of corner point, cross point and the smooth boundary. In the end, we fill the areas enclosed by the new boundary and get the new thinstem image. This paper has tested our recipe with the typical and complicated printing images, rectified the parameters, and analyzed the thinstem process results. The method could be used to complete the autogeneration of thinstem and hence improve the automation degree and processing proficiency of Printing and Dying CAD software. At the same time, the ideas and practices in this paper might give some inspirations to the research of similar complex character processing techniques.
