In this article, inorganic flocculant (PAM), organic floccuant(PAFSC) and inorganic/organic complex floccuant were studied. Their preparation and application in wastewater were researched.Firstly, the effect of pH, intiation system content ect. were studied. We get the optimum copolymerization conditions. Using the advance molecular weight PAM to treat with simulated water and dyeing waste water, it is found the optimum dosage of the flocculant and it has a pH of great extent.Secondly, the polysilic aluminium ferric flocculants were prepared from bauxite sledge. Its flocculating effects were studied by coagulating test. The properties of the flocculant, including color removal rate and turbidity removal rate etc were discussed. And the effect of Al/Fe/Si, pH, dose on coagulation is presented. The coagulation machnism was also discussed.Thirthly, inorganic/organic complex floccuant was studied for treating dyeing waste water. The results demonstrated the treating the dyeing waste water with complex flocculant had not only good chromaticity removal rate but also fewer dosage of flocculant. In a word, inorganic/organic complex floccuant is a high-effectiveness, compound polymer coagulant.
