By analyzing the quality of both artificial simulation rainfall and natural river-water which flow over typical soil of Taihang Mountain in Xiejiahe catchment , this research project takes natural soil as the object. The result shows that, the loss of nitrogen and phosphorus is an important pollution source causing the surface water to be polluted by nitrogen and phosphorus under natural background; the loss in Taihang Mountain is in the form of nitrogen particle and soluble phosphorus; under artificial high-intensity rainfall, the loss intensity stands as, rough and loose brown earth > brown calcareous soil≈brunisolic soil≈acid rhogosol > leachine brown earth; both the density and intensity have little to do with both elements' content in soil; different vegetation conditions have obvious influence on soil nitrogen and phosphorus loss, i. e., the quantity of loss in forest land is the largest, and that in meadow takes the second place, while that in clump is the last one; the heavier the rain, the much the loss.
