Ionization radiation is the main object in the radiological protection. The nuclear behaviors in the nuclear power plants, machining of nuclear fuels, mining of uranium mines and the national defence industry are the main causes of the occupational exposure. Plutonium, a man-made nuclear material, is a typical nuclear material treated in these behaviors. Therefore, the research of plutonium protection is of important. How doses plutonium be absorbed by human body? There are mostly two factors, the mode that plutonium enters into the human's body and the state of the plutonium compounds. Usually, diffluent compounds can be easily absorbed. Plutonium can hardly infiltrates into human's body through the skin unless there is a wound. It can enter into human's body though breathing system. Once it goes into human's body, it will stay for a long time. Plutonium is mainly an alpha-emitting radioisotope. Therefore, the protection of internal exposure is very important. One way to evaluate the dose is to detect the concentration of the aerosol in a workplace. Usually, we use the disintegration detection method. To eliminate the influence of the natural background, the sample is deposited for four days before the detection is carried out. In this way, the equipment for detection is simple, and it's of high sensitivity. But it costs a longtime, which can not suffice the requirement of fast detection under accident situation.This work is carried out to meet the requirement of fast detection under accident situation. Because of the difference among natural radon, thoron and its generation, and the nuclear characteristics of plutonium,Two-channel equalization method are used. A scheme is developed for the rapid detection of plutonium aerosol, to estimate the pollution degree of plutonium aerosol in the workplace and the environment under accident condition.
