Dibenthiophene (DBT) a compound having organic sulfur is found in fossil fuel. Traditional chemical processes can only remove the inorganic sulfur, while the organic ones can not be removed efficiently. The biodesulfurization(BDS) is that bacterium effect on sulfur of organic compounds and make organic sulfur become inorganic one. DBT is usually used as a model compound to research the mechanism desulfurization. In this study, the strain, named MJY1, selected in the soil of coal tar was identified as Microbacterium sp. MJY1 was conserved at 4℃ and relived in the solid medium. Before used in fermentation, it needed reproduce in Basic Salts Desulfurization Medium(BSDM). The seeds, inocution 1%, then was used in fermentation for 96h. Some fermentative liquid was get and the pH was changed by 2% HCl, Hexane was used to extract the products at low pH. At last, the product was analyzed by GC-MS. There was two peak at 4.5min and 6.5min respectively on GC-MS map, and the former represented the 2-HBP and the latter DBT through the analysis of their MS. The result showed that MJY1 could effect on C-S bond of DBT and generate 2-HBP, and the mechanism of desulfurization...
