Study On The Compounding And Applications Of One-component Waterborne Clear Coating

In this paper, one-component waterbome clear coating with different performances was prepared , with different resins such as waterborne polyurethane, polyurethane modified by epoxy, water-borne acrylics, acrylic resin modified by epoxy, styrene-acrylic resin, and additives of DP series which were produced by DeQian Company, Taiwan., corrosion potential and corrosion rate of one-component waterborne clear coatings in 3% NaCl were tested by CS300 electrochemistry analysis system from 0 day to 7 days. The corrosion resistance was tested by CHI660A electrochemistry analysis System. Conventional performances such as adhesive were tested. The optimal prescription of one-component waterborne clear coat was obtained, and the conventional performances of the optimal prescription such as adhesive, corrosion resistance were optimum.In this paper, applications of one-component waterborne clear coating were extended, the waterborne clear coat with low solid content was improved by chemical method. A one-component water clear coating was prepared which can be applied to sealing agent of melt. And it's performances were tested, the testing result indicated HS₁₇ type one-component waterborne clear coating was a kind of good sealing agent, which was applied in passivating plate without chromium of ferrous metals.
