Referring the project making-steel instances, the paper analyzes why the tube of waste cooling wall in BOF waste heat boiler is leak and presents the precaution and solving methods to improve the using of waste heat boiler. NiCr coating produced by arc-spraying technology on the materials surface exhibited excellent high-temperature corrosion resistance and good wear-resistant features. So these coatings can be used in the prevention of converter draught hood in high-temperature environments and resistance to wear for the waste cooling wall tubes of converter draught hood, and they might rapidly lead to the industrial applications.In this study, microstructure of the NiCr coating produced by arc-spraying have been analyzed by using testing techniques, such as light microscope technique, Scanning Electron Microscopy, X-ray diffraction, et al. The bond strength, high-temperature corrosion resistance, thermal shock resistance and porosity of coatings produced by arc-spraying have been studied through a series of experiments as well as the mechanical property of coatings. Surface pretreatment technology and coating behind treatment technology have been optimized for arc-spraying NiCr. Optimum process parameters optimized by orthogonal experimental design are acquired the principle of arc-spraying NiCr process. Results of this study are as follows:(1) NiCr coating produced by arc-spraying technology on the materials surface exhibited excellent high-temperature corrosion resistance and good wear-resistant features. So these coatings can be used in the prevention of converter draught hood in high-temperature environments and resistance to wear for prevention of the waste cooling wall tubes of converter draught hood.(2) Coatings of arc-spraying technology can be in the field of the waste cooling wall tubes of converter draught hood. Arc-spraying NiCr coatings have better ability.(3) The technology of grit-blasting that is used of quartz grit and pointed iron grit could greatly meet the demand of surface pretreatment for arc-spraying.
