The steel industry in our country was developed quickly in 1990's, and occupied an important position in the world. The annual output of steel exceeded 400 million in 2006, rank the first place in the world. But compared with the quickly development of steel industry, the energy industry in our country has fall behind. So nuclear power is becoming the main direction of national energy development. In the coming 15 years, there will be 30 nuclear power stations in our country, therefore, nearly 2 or 3 nuclear power stations would be built every year from now on. It is a good chance to make the produce technology of nuclear power steel nationalize.The nationalize produce of nuclear power steel was studied in this paper. Based on the investigation results, through proper rolling and heat treatment technology, the properties of A42, A52 steel can meet the normalization requirement, so it is feasible to make the produce nationalize.Impact ductility is the major influencing factor of A42 and A52 steel. There are many reasons that lead to impact ductility reduced. Based on the results of properties checking, the Widmanstatten structure is not the major factor, but the high content of impurities and banded structure in steel can affect the impact ductility dramatically.Through the disposal of stress relieving, the strength and impact ductility of A42 and A52 steel that under different temperature can meet the requirements, it is indicate that under long time stress relieving, the properties of the two steel still stable, could meet the requirement of the next produce.Under proper welding technological conditions, and using J507 welding rod, the properties of A42 plates' soldered joint could be controlled better. The properties could meet the normalization requirements and the welding operating requirements.The carbon content was optimized, purify the steel and proper Nickel content is a available method to get high strength and impact ductility. The optimal carbon content of C grade steel is 0.10-0.14%, and the Nickel content is 0.30-0.40%.
